What is last seen tracking?

A last seen tracker keeps a timeline of status changes that are visible for a number after monitoring begins. WaTrack records new visible online and offline changes and shows detected events in a signed-in web dashboard. It does not read conversations or retrieve an earlier history.

A timestamp in the timeline is the time WaTrack recorded a visible change. It is not proof of what the person was doing or who they were communicating with. A missing event is not proof that the person was offline.

How to read a timeline

Suppose the dashboard records an online change at 10:00 and an offline change at 10:12. Those two detected events form a 12-minute online session in the history. If only the first event is recorded, the session has no confirmed end time. Read the individual timestamps before drawing conclusions from a daily total.

Status visibility, network gaps, or an interrupted monitoring connection can leave a sequence incomplete. WaTrack does not fill gaps with estimates or guarantee that every change will be detected. The help center explains how to check setup and read the event timeline.

What a tracker cannot show

  • Activity from before monitoring started.
  • A status hidden by privacy settings.
  • Messages, calls, media, location, or the identity of a conversation partner.
  • A complete account of every moment when a connection or visible status is unavailable.

WaTrack is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta. Review the product overview for current web availability and the Privacy Policy before entering a number.

Before you start

  1. Confirm that using the number is lawful and that you have any consent your situation requires.
  2. Choose the correct country code and enter the full number on the WaTrack homepage.
  3. Review the web plan and complete sign-in and dashboard setup. Monitoring begins only when the dashboard confirms it is ready.
  4. Wait for a new visible change, then interpret each recorded event with the limits above in mind.

The responsive web dashboard works on supported phone, tablet, and desktop browsers. Native mobile apps are coming soon; a current web purchase does not provide an unreleased app or mobile push notifications.
